Grove Lodge occupies a prime, elevated position overlooking the Tees Valley on the outskirts of Middleton-in-Teesdale.

It is a Elegant country house, set in one acre of lawned gardens with uninterrupted views. Grove Lodge is a mid-Victorian building, formerly a royal shooting lodge. Luxurious en-suite bedrooms, with TV lounge, licensed bar and private parking. All home cooking with a wide choice of menu. Ideally located on the outskirts of a market town with easy access to Northumberland and the Lake District, Barnard Castle and the renowned Bowes Museum.

It is within walking distance of all amenities, restaurants, public houses and shops. Seating available on the lawns in seasonal weather . Afternoon teas available, spacious grounds for children to be able to enjoy.

Private parking and hard standing available for motor bikes, a layby to the rear of the property is also suitable for a coach.

In 2009 Grove Lodge achieved 4 stars, Gold Award and the Breakfast Award with Quality in Tourism, Enjoy England, and has achieved these awards for some years. After 26 years of trading and being supervised, we have chosen to start 2010 without the tourist board, which gives the owner more scope with design and presentation.
